PILAU at TCL

At TCL, “PILAU” which stands for Promoting Integrity, Leadership, Academics and cultural Understanding focuses on recruitment and retention of African-American male students.

The program incorporates an important connection to Gullah culture through a special portable museum project where Gullah artifacts will be collected and then presented to area schools and other public arenas.

Participants will also develop leadership skills, successfully complete all courses, enhance

self-esteem and pride, and gain a better cultural understanding of Gullah and area communities.

We hope all is progressing well for each of you as you make plans for a tremendous Spring Semester at TCL.  Your PILAU Program Staff would like to take this opportunity to let you know about some great events you will not want to miss!
