TCL to offer workshop series on improving leadership skills
The Technical College of the Lowcountry will host “Proactive Leadership: Lead with Focus and Intention,” a five-day workshop series geared toward helping individuals improve leadership skills. Classes will be held March 15 through 19 from 8 a.m. to noon in building 22, room 100 at the TCL Beaufort Campus. Cost is $79 per session or $299 if attending all sessions (reflects a 25 percent discount).
Sessions include:
March 15- Leading Day-to-Day - know yourself before you lead others
March 16- Defeating the Meeting - interpersonal skills for leaders
March 17- Problem Solving Simplified - using critical thinking skills to solve problems
March 18- Build a Team from Scratch - building a skillful, motivated and effective team
March 19- Talent Search - the leader’s role in developing top performers
This workshop series will explore the fundamentals for defining and embracing personal leadership roles by providing an introduction to the skills that are essential for any effective leader. Participants will learn how to define their roles, how to understand various leadership styles and interpersonal skills, and how to bring new team members on board. Sessions are highly interactive and will address individual leadership situations with a personalized Action Plan at the end of each session.

About the Instructors:
Dr. Tom Conner brings 44 years of experience in public school leadership, graduate-level teaching, private business management, technology consulting and national-level leadership training to complement a dynamic TCL Proactive Leadership team at the New River Campus.
Donna Frankoski is a Registered Corporate Coach, having managed a small business for 10 years and training departments in a variety of companies; has coached senior-, mid- and entry-levels of management of small-to-large organizations; and facilitated organizational change workshops and strategic and implementation meetings.
